If you are consistently seeing numbers higher than <strong>130\/80<\/strong>, that is the danger zone where damage begins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to Drop the Pressure<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>You don&#8217;t always need medication to fix it. Small lifestyle shifts have a massive impact:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Shake the Salt Habit:<\/strong> Sodium is a magnet for water. When you eat too much salt, your body holds onto fluid, which increases blood volume and pressure. The biggest culprit isn&#8217;t the salt shaker; it\u2019s processed food, bread, and restaurant meals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Move Your Body:<\/strong> Your heart is a muscle. If you exercise it (even just brisk walking!), it gets stronger and can pump blood with less effort. Less effort means less pressure on your arteries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tame the Stress:<\/strong> When you are stressed, your body releases hormones that temporarily spike your pressure. Chronic stress keeps it high. Finding 10 minutes a day to breathe deeply or meditate is literally heart-protective.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Knowledge is power. Check your pressure at the pharmacy kiosk or get a home cuff.
